Yes.
It was mixed, but we were close but we had no choice.
It was a chain gang.

In grades 6 & 7 I had a group of girlfriends and we did everything together. In highschool I hung out with a mixed girls/guys group of people. We did lot's together - shopping, amusement parks, bike riding, tobogganing, highschool dances, hanging out at each other's houses and watching videos/tv

I don't think there were any girl gangs back when I was a kid, at least not in the neighborhood where we were living.

Not a "gang". But the neighborhood kids and I were sort of a unit, yes. I had one best friend, the rest were just playmates basically.

yea we had our own "castle" in the woods... i was the only girl allowed, but i guess the other girls didnt really care for it anyway
