Do you trust the COVID-19 vaccines?

Would you take it? Have you taken it?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
NO!!! No!! No! They are classed as experimental for a reason. They have not been tested for safety or efficacy either in the short term or the long term and many of the deaths and injuries caused by the vax is not being attributed to the vax.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@ninalanyon Or the people were put into a panic by the public health officials and the covid is just another flu/cold virus that we humans have to deal with.
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
@hippyjoe1955 See https://www.statista.com/statistics/1127698/influenza-us-deaths-by-age-group/

No and no.
We are not immune from risk, sickness and death, no matter what we inject into our bodies.
SatinSecrets · 31-35, M
@Magenta I believe a proper diet and cure this shiz. And since alcohol works, drink a beer or 2 everyday. And since heat works, smoke a joint. Sty alive and healthy 💪
Magenta · F
@SatinSecrets Ha.😄
Diet and exercise can help, but nothing is a magic cure all. We fool ourselves.

Does anyone ever read and pay attention to the side affects of medicine/drugs? Much worse than the actual ailment many times.
SatinSecrets · 31-35, M
@Magenta yes 💪 covid is taking away precious time!
Not unless forced but they'd have a hard time with that.. I'm glad I dont require the entering of any businesses with my lifestyle, with the bs about not letting unvaxxed ppl enter..

@Jdanielb how does a dickhead have the right to call someone stupid, just because I've made a fool of you which was really easy...don't keep putting the bible down, try reading it and learn respect and love which you simply lack

I have. I took the moderna vaccine with no side effects at all.
gregloa · 61-69, M
Yes and yes. I don’t trust Covid
Graylight · 51-55, F
The vaccines don't make anyone impervious to the virus. You can still get sick, you can still infect others as a carrier. Where they're very efficacious is in shortening the duration and severity should the virus be contracted. For some, that will mean the difference between life and death. And it may protect against "slow Covid," an ignored and very, very significant form of the illness.

The vaccines are developed on known, sound science; they've been tested as effective in the longest time frame we currently have, about 6 months. And potential side effects aside, you are statistically much more likely to be affected by Covid than a serious side effect of a vaccine.

So yes, 1st dose on board, 2nd one coming this Thursday.
SatinSecrets · 31-35, M
@PrivateHell me neither.
Platinum · M
Definitely...deaths in uk have gone from 1300 a day to 10 a day and cases from 26000 to 1500 a day which proves without any doubt they are working..........long time we don't know
JustNik · 51-55, F
Yep all done! 💃 There is risk with everything. I preferred the risk of the vaccine over the risk of Covid.
SatinSecrets · 31-35, M
@JustNik makes sense. Death is inevitable anyway
Stupidjerkamerican · 46-50, M

@SatinSecrets
isn't it too soon yo trust it?
No. The various vaccines have been quite thoroughly tested in trials and have been administered to vast numbers, many millions, of people all of whom are registered and are part of the statistics on side effects.
Even the Astra Zeneca vaccine that has been implicated in a number of blood clotting events is very safe for most people and the category of people who would be most at risk of side effects is being narrowed down so that they can avoid it.
Not yet.

Probably will later on.
SoftServe · 26-30, M
I’m down for it
SatinSecrets · 31-35, M
@SoftServe haha you're talking like it's a new flavor of craft beer or something., 😅

Azlotto · M
Nope.

I will not take it.
Azlotto · M
@SumKindaMunster
And yes, vaccinated people can be carriers unfortunately.
Thanks. I thought so.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Azlotto It's rare, but it does happen. They believe these are asymptomatic infections. The infected person isn't infected enough to show symptoms, but infected enough to pass the virus.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@SumKindaMunster The more you know. 🌈
