Interesting concept. No. But veganism and religion do share a common parent in a belief system philosophy. We all subscribe to core values that we feel are our meaning of life. Whether it is the tread the world softly and leave no damage behind, or a faith in a god. or whatever it takes to be a good person, maybe following a Guru or a cult.

@SirenCalledLuce Religion doesn't require the worship of a deity. Buddhism is a religion and there's no G-d in buddhism.
