I Hate When People Call My Job and say "Your Company..."

..."I spend a lot of money with your company.."

and I interrupted, sympathizing:

..."uh, ma'am, if this were MY company, then I need to have a meeting with my accountants because clearly my bank account is not reflecting that."

(I was given a verbal warning for that, after that call was reviewed, despite supervisor holding back laughter)

Lol. I used to hate when they would say, "I will have your job." I was a manager and on more than one occasion I told the person I would be glad to send them an application.

@Jeremi Another technique is when someone is talking louder and louder allow your voice to get softer. It forces them to get calmer to hear you

that's basic 101. I usually mute, let them get everything out, come back with this passionate somber voice like I'm offering a tissue. "you feel better now? awww, poor thing."
