I have a weird disorder that messes with my spinal cord and some of the symptoms include the loss of sensation in the limbs and paralysis. It’s only ever happened once, but about two years ago my hands went completely numb out of nowhere and they begun to involuntarily contract inward.
It was fucking terrifying.

@MiserableAtBest I had something like that happen three times when I was a teenager. Not quite numb but sudden needles and pins feeling from fingers to elbow and they were just kinda doing their own thing. Also came with this weird feeling of breathing just fine, but the oxygen wasn't there. went on for about an hour each time.
They couldn't find anything wrong with me, and it hasn't happened since.
