wow, that's difficult to say, you have to choose time and place... and ignore the diseases and the pain, the abuse of women and exploitation of children, slavery, colonialism... it is hard to find a good time in the past, even for a fantasy.
@Yulianna I totally agree. Why pave the road to the future with inferior materials mixed by past generations? We have the ingenuity to come up with something better, something so much more promising.
Will do! We don't have a pool but a trick I learned is to let a lot of cool air in during the morning and then close the windows and run the fans on high. It helps!@Stereoguy
I'm comfortable in my own skin now - albeit that it's not as toned as it once was. In any previous decades I would have been an old man! No thank you!🤣
I would choose the late 80’s or early 90’s and work at one of those startups that are huge corporations now that won’t be acquired anytime soon. My career would’ve been booming and I would have so much more security than I do now. Plus the music back then was awesome!
@Celt50 it was a lot of fun. The last decade before everything went to crap with political correctness and trophies for every one and the music was awesome!!!
I'd like to have been a young adult in the 1990s (I was born in 1989). I'd like to have been a nightclub regular in the 1990s when all the classic club anthems came out.
@Stereoguy I'm aware of the hazards. I served in the army , mandatory service and reserves. I feel that in the 40s , while the cities on my country were being bombed every day , and my fellow Jews were being persecuted and gassed in Europe , signing up would have been the right thing to do.
I doubt either of us has lived long enough to go back that far!😄
Though, it appears the O.P intended time travel in its truest sense: travel BEYOND the limits of our personal time line. Not, simply revisiting moments of our private past.
........😂❤️ either that or go back to Scandinavia the 900's with the Vikings AliceTalbot 26-30, F
In her dialogue with respondents, though, the author seems to indicate she's accepting both answers.
Within more modern times? The 50s when you were actually offered jobs instead of having to scrape the bottom of the barrel. Older times? Medieval England as a monk that gets put to death for heresy. Lol
I would not choose anything in the past. It doesn't make any sense to me since all these choices are made based on nostalgia. The past is progressively shittier for the average man/woman and you have no guarantee that you would be in the lucky countries that had it good or even not in the lower classes of those countries that still had it shitty. The present is great enough for me, if time travel was a thing i would only be interested in the future.
Early 80’s. And bring with me any info on the construction and manufacturing of Pentium computer chips, and all information on the locations of gold or money that had been found or recovered from 1980 to the present. I’d find the money, invest in Microsoft and Apple, present them with my “findings” on chip manufacture and then dive head first into all that 80’s excess. And I’d bring an ipad into the past just to screw with everyone’s heads and reverse engineer that sucker too! Yeah no you don’t want me time traveling! 😈
