Pretty much everything. I was born there, lived there, worked there. I think of my friends, family, co-workers, Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, The Chrysler Building, Grand Central Station, FIT, nightclubs, every kind of food in the world can be found at any time of day, the smell of garbage during the summertime, Central Park, The Flat Iron Building, Hudson River, East Side Drive, pizza, Orange Julius, Nathan's Hot Dogs, The Russian Tea Room, Bloomindale's, Tiffany's, Washington Square Park, Yellow cabs, a true melting pot of everything & everyone you can imagine, Mets, Yankees, Knicks, Madison Square Garden, etc.

There are famous places, famous people, some really great things and the not so great. It's a city like no other IMHO. Sometimes I love it, other times I hate it.
I just spoke with a friend who had to trek into the city for a work meeting. It's still a ghost town atm. My nephew lives there and was able to find an affordable apartment now because everyone is fleeing. 🤷♀️

@Nimbus That's really disgusting. I used to work at a homeless shelter, but the city is paying through the nose for those rooms...and they can't just dump junkies and homeless in an unsupervised contained environment like that. It has to be "policed'. I wonder whose brainchild THIS was? Haha. I think I know.
