Anyone else go through grief process with celebrity/highly broadcasted deaths?

Hey guys! Kind of a weird question. I’m a pretty normal girl.. hard worker, with normal career and stable husband and daughter. Hasn’t ALWAYS been cupcakes and rainbows but we seem to get through life’s normal challenges and bounce back when things get tough. With that being said, I have this really weird thing I don’t know what it is.. but when I see celebrity deaths or really odd events I sometimes obsess for days over them.. it’s like I almost go through a grief process.. like when the plane MH370 went down, I obsessively read the news and had nightmares about these people constantly thinking about how suspicious the facts were. I would google and search for any new information daily and was in a total state of disbelief when it happened. I couldn’t stop thinking about it! And it made me so sad for all those families. The same thing happened when Kobe Bryant died. This process lasted for weeks. I wanted to learn all about the mechanisms of the helicopter they were in, trying to make sense of why that pilot would take them out on such a foggy day etc.. thinking about there poor family etc..now with Naya Rivera disappearing I’m feeling the same way, and being a mom it’s even more heavy on my psyche. I’m having nightmares about it, and just totally sad for her and her son and vowing to never go in a lake again unless I have a life jacket.. I’m up at 4am googling why whirlpool appear in reservoir lakes.. looking online to picture of the lake and read other news article related to other drawings at the lake looking for facts.. and inbetween all of it I’m devastatingly sad for her and her precious little boy. Does anyone else get this way? Is it normal? Or do you just hear about a celebrity death and move on, don’t even think about it the next day. I also do have an extreme fear of dying.. and my step mom had me watching true crime shows at an early age which I also thing affected me.. somethings to consider. I really don’t know why I’m like this. Anyone else? Why is this? We don’t know these people at all.. what makes us feel so much emotion for them?

Sometimes, yes.
I even deleted social media once because that shit was trending and I couldn't just keep exposing myself to it anymore.
