Anyone else with COVID and Lung Problem make it through okay ?

Hi y’all! I was exposed to covid and am about 5 -6 days in.. I’ve got symptoms and I just got tested.. waiting for results to come back .. self isolating despite my work not only being the reason why a contracted this but also not being understanding at all.. with that being said, I’m a little worried about all the hype. My lungs do hurt.. quite a bit,, I have a mild fever.. I Also have had severe asthma and lung problems my whole life.. some from smoking during my younger years ..although my symptoms are kind of meh right now.. being on day 5-6... they do hurt.. I’m worried about things getting much worse.. I’m looking out for signs at which I would need to go to the emergency like severe shortness of breath, high fever, etc.. but so far so good. Who else here has had it and also has lung problems or health issues that make you more susceptible ? Would love to know your experience with symptoms throughout your time being sick. Thanks so much. Wishing you all much health and happiness in these tough times.

I have not had it. But I did take an online course on contact tracing, which also covered the medical basics. I am not a doctor and ALWAYS if you feel you should call the doctor, do it.

These are the emergency warning signs from the CDC.

My best bud's mum. She'd respiratory difficultyies and suffered for few days before getting better. We still haven't told her it was sars2. She's well into her 60s, has diabetes and hypertension. So hang on. You'll be fine.
Remember that while it is reported to be a miserable experience - body aches, fever, etc, the vast majority recover nicely. 🤗

I was diagnosed with asthma when I was 20 years old I think. I had smoked but quit years before then. My doctor prescribed an inhaler that I used a couple times and could not tell any difference. I gave it to someone I knew who had asthma and never have had any issues. Nor have I had Covid-19, so cannot help you. I was wondering if I got it and really do have asthma if it would be cause for alarm. I exercise regularly and just thought the doctor was getting kick backs on prescriptions or something. She listened to my breathing then immediately said "you have asthma." At the time I was jogging up to 5 miles in a day without issue.

@SW-User yes I wasn’t able to get in to get a test any sooner than that because the testing centers were booked out for days .. and then it took 12 days to get positive results. Yep.
