@will999 To say this simply: nothing is super human about the power of God. It's all God, from start to finish. This is why we don't praise Moses or Elijah or Peter, etc. Only the power of God can do those things in which you mentioned needing super human abilities. 😊 Acts 19:15 shows us why. Those copycats got jumped! Lol. Simply because they didn't possess the power of God. Evil, is anything contradictory to God. It's easy to recognize once this is understood.. How evil doers are handled, though depends. Why? Because evil doers are people. They are you and me. They are family members, co-workers, friends and strangers. Ephesians 2:1-10 shows us that. Since this is true, we have to rely on the spirit of God to guide us. Otherwise, that woman in John 8 would have been stoned that day. 👀 To say that I live my life, trusting in Him, fully, would be a lie. I struggle. Moreso because I'm a slight control freak. 🤷🏾‍♀️ But I try everyday. Most importantly, I try to remember what Jesus commanded in John 15:17: to love each other.

@will999 And as far as the quietness of this post, it's not surprising. Unfortunately a lot of "Christians" have forgotten what it truly means to be Christ like and Christianity has been misrepresented immensely. Remember those WWJD bracelets? Maybe they should bring those back and give those to everyone claiming to be Christian. Lol. Maybe then it would remind them to act as how Jesus would have. 🤷🏾‍♀️😂

@NIC0LE I'm not perfect either (yet!). The Holy Spirit at work in our assembly and daily lives can easily remind us how Jesus would have reacted in any troubling situation that we find ourselves in. The word trinity is not in the bible but the idea is all the way through it.

The good done by christians is often countered by the greed for power af many so called priests what have you. Look to the acts,, not the words

@SatyrService to a degree, I agree. I consider those type of preachers to be amongst the false prophets of which I was warned about. Those people from which tables got flipped by Jesus, himself, way back when. Those who are in the faith for self prophet and fame. I then pray for them and move on since I also have to be careful of who I do speak against.

@will999 Hi Will. I don't want to de-convert you. Each to his own. I was raised in a fundamental home and was toeing the christian line until I read the New Testament. Its contradictions, inaccuracies and dependence on convoluted Old Testament "prophecies" done for me. My philosophy now could be loosely be described as Spiritual with God being All That Is...

@walabby Hello again. Forgive me please, I am really trying to understand. If God is all there is there can be no evil because everything that exists is God, and by inference good, right? That does not work for me. I can see making very little effort that not everything which exists is good - death, fear and pain being prime examples. Have you ever seen a homeless person on the street where you live in sunny Queensland begging for money? Without going in to too much analysis on exactly what led to them being in that position I'm sure you agree it can't possibly all be good. Have you ever suffered as a consequence of someone else's misbehaviour? Is there no small voice within you that wants to cry out for justice and not merely on your own account but on behalf of everyone forced to bear an unfair burden of grief due to someone else's thoughtlessness and stupidity? And what about you? Have you never caused unintended suffering or pain because you did not fully understand the true nature of the situation you were in at the time? How did you remedy that situation and how do you feel about it now? What is the first contradiction or inaccuracy in the New Testament that springs to mind as you read this? Since you were raised in a fundamentalist christian home I have no need to stress the Biblical fact that God has settled the account on our behalf. He has paid the price for our shortcomings in full for all of us who choose to claim it in the name of Christ. I'll end the performance appraisal here because there really is nothing left to say.

The first inaccuracy that comes to mind is the Census that prompted Joseph and Mary to travel to Bethlehem when Quirinius was governor of Syria and Herod the Great was king.
The bible is the only record of this "event", and to think that everyone in the Roman world had to travel back to where their ancestors of 1000 years past came from to be counted is ridiculous. The only reason for this invention is because prophecy said that the messiah had to be born in Bethlehem, but Jesus lived in Nazareth.
The big problem though is that Quirinius was appointed governor of Syria about ten years after Herod the Great died.

There are plenty of biblical inconsistencies. Google them. Some are very minor. Some are not.
