I once swum the bay at Pago Pago to get back to my ship. The SS Orsova was at anchor and after a days horse riding I got back to the pier just in time to see the last ferry leaving.
@SubstantialKick Ive been 6 going on 7 now. It took me a while to realize, but it doesnt matter how long it takes. everyoines personal life is different. Keep at it man
@Plumouter I had a little brother born around my 12th birthday, so that one got skipped. Then my dad lost his job around my 13th, so no money to do anything. Then my parents were separated during my 14th, so no celebration there. I was pretty busy with school and extracurriculars at 15, so I didn't really want to do anything. Moved to a new high school for my 16th, so I didn't have any friends to invite to do anything. Fell into depression for my 17th, so I spent that birthday doing painkillers by myself in the quiet corner of a large park. By 18, I had lost interest in birthdays, so I just skipped it.
After that I moved away from home and struggled to make friends, so there was never an opportunity to celebrate. I'd like to though. Very much. It was just not possible. I'll be turning 31 next year and expect to spend that one alone too, which is really depressing to think about
@TinyViolins I'm sorry to hear that:( I'm sure people either from your job or personal life would love to celebrate your birthday with you. We'll celebrate it here anyway 🤗
