Sunday dinner, in my family, was one of our only formal meals. It was usually served in the afternoon, after church. It was usually ham or roast beef, potatoes and veggies.
The evening meal was always called supper, and it was served whenever my father came home from work on weekdays, or around 5:30 p.m. These meals were informal, and usually involved hamburgers, hot dogs, leftovers, meatballs or other really awful things my mother used to make.
