@Entwistle The teen died of septic shock. He was denied treatment and sent home at the first hospital where he went for help, because he had no insurance. This was in L.A.
He sought treatment later, at a second hospital, where he was admitted.
He died before he received the results of the covid19 test...positive. Sepsis is a known complication of covid19.
@Entwistle shows which is more important between a human life and the ability to pay health is suppose to be a caring profession in the states i am sceptical
@Entwistle The delay probably killed him, yes. He was suffering from acute respiratory symptoms when he went to the first hospital. The second hospital took him in, without insurance.
This happens in every big city...there are only certain hospitals that will take the homeless, or any patient without insurance, even for emergencies.
It would be a good idea for ALL the people in huge cities to find out which hospitals are which.
BUT...this virus is lethal, and everyone who smokes or vapes is in the high risk category.
