My children are actively making the world* a better place than I ever did. So, gotta disagree with you.

Honestly its worth it lol a few decades of suffering and an ocassional cheesecake then you can go back to eternal nothingness!

No it is not...but it IS selfish to not want to show that child that there are still good people, that there is love and goodness, perfection in imperfection, beauty in ugliness. How to find, latch onto, and grasp that. To teach them hope and faith, how to give and to share. That is selfish...and cynical.
If you choose not to have kids while able and functioning your only hurting your self, because society will not change! You will be lonely in times of need. Who cares about the rest of the world a family provides comfort for each other!

Ask your mother that question if you will, because I think she could tell you better then I could, I do think people should think about it long and hard before having a child, can we support a child, do we have enough quality time to raise a child up in a good way, things like that. But you won't never be able to feel the love of a child if you never bring one in the world. You won't have the good memories of the child's first word or there first step, those funny little things that they do and say, the world is a evil place but it always has been, it's your job as a parent to protect your child from it. That's what I think anyways

I think it is a valid justification to choose to not have children. It is one of the ways I comfort myself knowing I will never have the choice.

Bad news always makes more headlines, but this is not necessarily how it is. There will always be kindness and love, its perennial

I will try to make it the best for them as much as I can , I won't let them feel what I've felt
Cloud7593 · 46-50, F
It's the main reason I'm glad I never had kids.
@Cloud7593 won't you feel lonely when your older?
