What is the main reason the Labour Party lost the general election?

Rhodesianman · 56-60, M
I know exactly why .Jeremy Corbyn is a terrorist loving communist who would have set the country back years .I reckon he had more bolts than brains in his skull hence why he had so many mad ideas .
Picking Corbyn was a huge blunder. @Rhodesianman

I'm not heavily invested, but their leader wasn't exactly someone you want as the face of your party. Hamas is good and a friend! Jews are the problem! Yeah, that'll win support.
Probably because they spelled labor with a 'u'

people listened to the echoing voices of their grandparents. ..free economy....sovereignty. ..get their country back from the global socialists
Unrealistic policies and an anti-British Leader.
Labour should have known that Corbyn was just too unelectable. @SirenCalledLuce

Out of touch with the wishes of the electorate and not realising we are in 2019 not the 1970s

Corbyn, move to the far left, their stance of brexit.
Agreed. Brexit stance was a huge factor. @Ryannnnnn

Bad marketing and Xenophobia
Labour was accused of being too soft on immigration rather than being xenophobic. And the Tory party has always been more xenophobic than Labour. @JoeyFoxx

Reject globalization.

Because they were wrong as far as the voting public were concerned, too ideological and too much unrealistic spending.
Yes I think the spending commitments just seemed like fairy tale politics. It just wasn’t viewed as realistic that you could spend any amount wanted and worry about the borrowing later on. Very naive politics. @justastrugglingguy

They didn't do enough work.
I think the opposite was true. The public saw the Labour manifesto as far too jam packed with promises. @Success
Isn't it always greed?
Justenjoyit · 56-60, M
The Labor leader has just not got it.
