Why is it always men to initiate a relationship but always the first one to walk away from the relationship? Don’t start something you don’t really

I guess it depends on the culture, but an ancient proverb says "Men do the chasing, women do the choosing". So it depends on what one considers initiating, though women would do well to choose one who doesn't chase after every body.
