Have You Ever Walked Into A Grocery Store And Bought Something You Thought Was The Meat Of An Animal... And It Wasn't?

The very powerful meat industry, has done and are attempting to pass laws forbidding the use of labels/words like "veggie burger" or "vegan hot dog" on plant-based products. They SAY that it is confusing or "deceptive" to consumers, even though every plant-based "meat" product has meatless plain as day somewhere on the front of the packaging.

I'm certainly not going vegan anytime soon, but that is a ridiculous move on behalf of the meat industry.

@LordShadowfire We agree that it is a ridiculous claim on their part. Not one person who disagrees, has said that they have actually been deceived or "misled" by the wording on the labels of plant-based "meat" or milk products. Not on this site anyway, or the other one I submitted the the same question on.
Not that it hasn't probably happened in some store at some time, when someone didn't bother to actually read the words on the label of a product.
