@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Probably because "We need to eat the babies" doesn't warrant an actual response. AOC and her staff kinda just stopped the woman after a few seconds of her weird little rant, which was really the correct way to deal with the situation. And then the Representative said,

She was responding to what AOC at least percieved to be the baby-eater's doom and gloom mindset. The woman who was freaking out basically said that the conventional solutions to the climate crisis could never work fast enough and satirically suggesting an insane solution. AOC was refuting the idea that conventional solutions wouldn't be enough. And really, who would be prepared for a freakout like that?

I did see it. I think that's a stretch. Every group has their extremists.
Even AOC tweeted about it afterward, saying the woman was likely mental (not her exact term. She said "woman in distress"). Liberals aren't on board with what the woman said either.
