Anyone else has anemia here?

I get fatigued often, sun is my worst enemy. So far all my tests have been fine..

Tried iron supplements but they made me sick so often I had to quit them. I modified my diet but it's still messing with me.

@SW-User Medics told me to stop them after feeling sick repeatedly. I take Vitamin C already, modified my diet as much as I could. My body can't tolerate the ferrous stuff and it's no use if it's going to make me ill each time. I'm following medical advice.

Everyone's different. You don't need to have a drug to have allergies/intolerance to it.

My sister does. But maybe eat something that would increase your blood count? Like red meat, such as beef.organ meat, such as kidney and liver.dark, leafy, green vegetables, such as spinach and kale.dried fruits, such as prunes and raisins.beans.legumes.egg yolks.

I've had anemia. Yes, if you can get more red meat in your diet you'll be better off. If you like liver that's great. I also added a daily serving of spinach.

identify why you have anemia, if there is a medical cause, it won't go away without addressing that. For me it was celiac disease.

how did the supplements make you sick?

@Miram They told me high doses would make my stomach ill so I was told to stop after seeing blood. I freaked out. I'm okay now though. They told me to fix the diet to avoid the supplements and that's what I did.

They only think it's minor. Since everything else came out clear. So internal bleeding was excluded too.

Still need to review the meds tho with my consultant.

@SW-User what medication? Perhaps there is more to explain the fatigue than anemia alone.

@Miram I follow mostly what medics say. When I don't like what they say or doubt them I turn to private consultancy
Ask your doctor if ferrous sulphate capsules would benefit you.

@EugenieLaBorgia Yeah. To be honest I added dark choc in my diet as they said it's got loads of iron in. Meh 😛😁 and I didnt even know before I did a search.

@Mmiker I take green veggies more than you know. BUT I'm told the main of iron is found in beef, liver etc. I was almost vegan before so I know.
Just Eat more food maybe. Eat more heavier meals like rice and beans chicken lentils steak and cheese sandwitches those type of things beef n shit..idk veggies fruits

@TimingQuasars I enjoy only good food. I can't take junk and other things because I dunno my body is weird like that 😅 but yeah
