Sounds like the Galloping Gourmet Show in the 70’s!

@smiler2012 But Graham Kerr abandoned drink and tried to prevent the Galloping Gourmet shows being repeated.

@ninalanyon I didn’t know that. He would always open a bottle of wine to cook with and then start chugging it. He was funny on his show but Foster Brooks, a comedian, was too.

@cherokeepatti What made me think "Yuk" about Graham Kerr (I was only little!) was that he'd come to the front for a "chat to camera" and light a fag, flicking ash into one of the pans he'd just used 🤮. The "time for a short slurp" bit was fine. That of course was at an age when I hated anyone smoking. (er things have changed a bit)

@Rosejilly Yeah I remember that. I worked in a place in the 70’s where the cook would hold a cigarette in her mouth in the doorway of the kitchen & flick ashes everywhere. It was a congregation meal program for seniors.
