Do you think Star Trek should do more for LGBTQ+ issues?

Years ago, Star Trek was the first to broadcast a kiss between a white guy and a black women. That was good. But the show never shows gay or gender fluid people. That is bad.

Yeah they tried hard bless them but it's still very much of it's time. The original still had a law that women couldn't be captains, the next generation only had women as a doctor and a counselor - admittedly they had a security chief but they killed her off WAY early - and everyone was white except the alien.
