What's ONE thing you would change about yourself..

My mind. I'm intelligent and mentally cursed at the same time.

I quite like myself nowadays. I’m a programmer, I’m mentally stable, I’m punk/goth/alternative and dressing almost exactly how I’ve wanted to for a long time (dying my hair blue next week lol), I’m going to college, my education from pre-school to now was top-notch (for the most part excluding elementary kinda, which was more so just good), I’m physically fine-looking, I’m mature for my age, I’m a pro-client in therapy, I have the best best friend in the whole world, I have strong interests and hobbies (i.e., music, hacking video game consoles and custom firmware, video games, hot anime boys 🤤), my grammar skills are EXTREMELY advanced and nearly perfect, my performance in English is very strong, I’ve gotten an A (an A+ in a few too) in every single one of my Computer Science courses ever taken including AP CS Principles, I look and sound male, I like my sexuality a lot, etc.

By now I used to think I wouldn’t be alive so you know that’s like at least 1,000% better lol. I guess I’d change...my trauma? It shaped my sexuality quite a lot, and I’m pretty happy with how I ended up in that area. So...do I wish that trauma didn’t happen? I don’t know. I really like how I changed myself in response to it, but I certainly don’t like how it changed some other parts of my life. Therefore, I don’t wish that it didn’t happen. I just wish I could fix some of my cognitive distortions easier than it has been trying to fix them.

My temperament

@blackychanx
Yes, it is... But sometimes I can’t stand myself because of it
@MiserableAtBest Because you'll be pissed for almost no reason, I would assume.

@blackychanx
I’m an intolerant person, so yeah, I get angry at the smallest things.
raysam363 · 31-35, F
Mind as well. I'm tired of thinking the way I do.
@raysam363 Which way do you think?
raysam363 · 31-35, F
@blackychanx Too much depression ruling over other thoughts, maybe a bit happier?
@raysam363 I know what you mean.

I don’t think I drink enough. 2 cases of beer a day is embarrassingly low. I need to step it up a few notches

My confidence level.
SW-User
@blackychanx if I believed all the compliments I get, it would definitely help me.
@SW-User Believe them, see what other people see.
SW-User
@blackychanx I'll try

Often those things come in the same upgrade package 😕
@Quizzical I know what you mean. If it's something you can change, do it. If not, learn to love it and appreciate it for what it is. Even our weaknesses can be our strengths.
SW-User
I would give myself some confidence.
@SW-User You're a really attractive person, with a good head on your shoulders. Something I do is practice positive affirmations. I look in the mirror everyday and say "I'm a handsome African King", and even something that small helps. What we see and hear is inevitably what we'll believe.

[c=#BF0000]Phat hips[/c]
@SW-User I haven't noticed.
SW-User
@blackychanx [c=#BF0000]they're yuuuuuuuge.. the main reason I'm dieting[/c]
@SW-User I understand. Continue on with your diet, you got this. Conquer those hips!

I really want a devil may care attitude and bitchy personality like Blair in Gossip Girl

My gut. It's not overly big, but I'd rather not have one
@uncalled4 Have you worked out?
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
@blackychanx Some, but I never targeted that area specifically. My dad had the same kind of gut, too.
@uncalled4 Working out helps. I just started working out recently. Write down each day the exercise you're doing and how many reps of each. It'll give you confidence to do it constantly.
