What is one defining trait about both political parties?

Try not to fight, kids, but be honest.

For Democrats: Take a high and mighty approach while talking down to anyone who doesn't agree. Essentially, a superiority complex.

For Republicans: Quick to defend but usually pretty tame about it. A lot of diverse opinions, but the ones who shout loudest are heard most often.

Republicans believe that it is our responsibility to take care of ourselves.

Democrats believe that it is our duty to take care of each other.

Republicans have a strong aversion to ambiguity. Everything has to be black or white.

Democrats have a strong aversion to inequality. Everything needs to be fair and/or equal.

Republicans dislike strangers and outsiders. Democrats dislike individuals and mavericks.

Republicans want a plentiful future. Democrats want a safer future.

Republicans are deluded by the idea of freedom. Democrats are deluded by the idea of peace.

These of course are all generalizations, but there's a nugget of truth behind each one
@TinyViolins But it’s a fair assessment of the differences.
