Close the window and turn on the A/C. Since when are there cooler nights in July?

Hahaha. I bet! I have a gf in FLA and she says the same. I would love to visit New Orleans though. We have friends that go there several times a year. They love it! @quitwhendone

I don't think any neighborhood is "stable" . Burglars/rapists/killers are no respector of location. Please don't risk it.

you’re right. i mean i just don’t live in the city hellhole somewhere lol @LadyGrace

@DoubleRings 😄 I'm sure glad you don't.

I leave my windows open a lot to cool down the house at night. Out where I live? There hasn't been any burglaries or such in years.

That is when people start putting bars on their windows :(

It tends to be the same person or same small group of people behind the crimes and they usually look for the same type of opportunity that has been successful previously.
I'd either close the windows or alarm each one that you might leave open.

Nope..no windows open. Closed & locked air conditioning on..not so worried about break ins..but allergies and keeping a stable room temp just works for me better.

There are no warm nights here, even in the middle of summer, so we usually only have the windows open during the day.

I live in an apt on ground level so at night my windows are closed. I'm moving to a top floor apt next month so the windows will be left open.

i always keep the windows open.. no matter how cold it is

Not worried so much about break ins, I just don't want to hear my neighbors.
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
I'm not worried and I have had 3 break ins this year. One of them. The cheeky buggers watched a movie before they left. Taking the change in the ashtray of course.

come on.... they watched a MOVIE??? @Thevy29

How sad, scary ,terrible , hurtful, shameful, being a thief would it be? I can only imagine how it must feel to lock your windows /doors because you feel that someone will break in😔..That's not right !!!

I do keep them open when the weather’s warm. But I’m in front on the third floor and there’s no balcony so I’m less concerned about anyone coming in that way.
