Do you sleep with the windows open on cooler nights? Do you worry about break ins?

We had a rash of brazen break ins in our area last year while people were home sleeping at night. It’s a stable neighbourhood not typically targeted for crime. I am now worried about sleeping with any windows open any more. What do you think?
