Do you have a favorite dog breed? If so, what makes it your favorite breed?

Wraithorn · 51-55, M
I'm not a big dog fan but I must just say that the most likeable dogs I've ever met were Labradors. They're gentle characters and most importantly of all...they don't hate cats.

@Wraithorn do you have a favorite cat breed pr just regular domestic?
Crazychick · 36-40, F
@Wraithorn Guide dogs are truly amazing, and the majority of them are Labradors.
Wraithorn · 51-55, M
@Brinkleybelle19 I love all cats regardless of breed. I will say though that my least favourite cat breed is Siamese.

I have a few favorites for various reasons. Poodles, they never shed, they are really intelligent and easy to train and the best breed of dog to have if you want to easily housebreak a dog. They are rather high maintenance if you don’t know how to groom them though. German shepherds, high intelligence and they are good guard dogs, it’s natural with them. Golden retrievers, very sweet dogs and rare for them to bite anyone.

@Brinkleybelle19 Had a poodle and several German shepherds growing up. Our neighbor’s poodle would walk up to our place carrying a rag or a piece of rope and they’d play tug-of-war in the driveway till they got tired, then the other poodle would pick up his toy and go home and come back the next day to play again. I don’t even know how that poodle knew she lived at our house because we had along driveway...maybe he heard her bark or something. It was fun watching them play.

@cherokeepatti so sweet, my grandma had a poodle named Gigi, she was the best dog

@Brinkleybelle19 I’ve seen them in public this past year and it made me want to get one again. It wouldn’t shed and wouldn’t stink up the carpeting and they are very good companions. Nice to walk too.

Our neighbor has this wonderful friendly dog, a would love to know what combination of breeds he is. Do they have dog DNA analysis.
Brinkleybelle19 · 51-55, F
@monte3 I have heard they do have dog DNA analysis but I bet its pricey

Springer Spaniel, nice temperament, the right size, intelligent, and trainable. Preferably from hunting stock and not show stock, but for a house pet is really doesn't matter.

If you want a dog with character, nothing beats a corgi. But they are energetic and love to play. They also shed some hair.
Crazychick · 36-40, F
I love all dogs.

I grew up with German Shepherds in the family, but I love all dog breeds....right now I have 2 little dogs, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Pomeranian mix (50% Pomeranian).
Love all dogs, however, German Shepherds are on the top of the list. Always had them, they're fantastic...

I think borzoi are beautiful... But I pretty much love all dogs. Their personality is worth more than anything.

@Jackaloftheazuresand They're hilarious hahaha.
I’m more a cat person, but if my friends’ Husky is typical of the breed they are wonderful dogs.
Crazychick · 36-40, F
@bijouxbroussard Huskies are awesome. I've seen 3 or 4 of them in my area. There was one tied up outside one of the local shops last Friday, I just had to pet it and say hello to it. :)
