Do younger people still talk to elders today and try and learn from them?

I'm not seeing a lot of this anymore so I thought I'd ask.

Unfortunately not. But the opportunity to become wiser and stronger has been given to the old.
Most of my "elders" are senile and narrow-minded.

In rural China, or a small village in the jungles of Brazil, yes. But in a technological society old people are considered obsolete and people discuss things like "a duty to die" when it comes to the old.
