Question for the Christians posting.

I mean no disrespect as I was raised Catholic myself but I've started questioning a lot. I have a question that no one's ever been able to answer. If everything that happens is God's will, then why do innocent children die of cancer every day, why are they born with horrific birth defects, why would God want a child to suffer in this way? From a mom who's lived it first hand.

Where did you get the idea that everything that happens is God’s Will. Do you think it was his desire to bring his Son to Earth to die the horrific death that he did?
Have you seen “The Passion”?
Fernie · F
@Pfuzylogic what do you mean where did she get the idea? It's jammed down your throat from birth...it's assigned to you...now, hopefully she will clear her mind and see what insanity it all is

@Fernie
Did you ever think that the idea jammed down your throat might be wrong?
Show me in the Bible where it says that?
Fernie · F
@Pfuzylogic The buybull is one big fat fairy tale created by and for men...a tool to control the masses...masses are asses. It's anti-woman, anti-choice of any kind,anti-intelligence,anti free thinking, sheer violence, threats,manipulation,whatever goes against this crap in a sin,...In all my life I have never heard of people being tortured, beaten,imprisoned, stoned to death,etc...in the name of Atheism. It's a story about magic.....there's no such thing as magic

@Fernie
I have seen very few times that people didn’t fear a loving and living God that cares for his Creation. Try reaching out to the Father. It isn’t magic but Faith that will connect you. Prayer is always available because God is always near. That is what Emmanuel means.
I do hope your hatred finds an answer and that you lose your penetrating bitterness.

@Pfuzylogic I d o most definitely believe in God and have seen my prayers answered quite often but there are questions like the one I've asked that I just don't think I have a clear answer on no matter how much I pray.

@Summerbreeze45
Let me point you to Luke 22:42 before Jesus suffered his terrible crucifixion.

"Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done."

Jesus is demonstrating that at any time the Father’s Will was his choice.

@Summerbreeze45 See? the first thing they do when LOGIC is in their faces is to quote that damn book of fairytales.
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
@Fernie ikr? 🤦‍♀️
Pfuzylogic · M
@Harriet03
If you want to talk about the God of Christ then you refer to the Holy Bible.

@Fernie
You keep your nose in the Cat in the Hat dear. Reality will be over soon.

*Checks to see if that was difficult to understand.*
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
@Pfuzylogic That's the problem hun. Which version?
It's just a book, like TCITH or any other novel. Just older ✌
Fernie · F
@Pfuzylogic your head is up your ass...I pity anyone who buys into this crap...it's a mental illness...a cult. Like Jim Jones and Manson...you're a follower of that kind of manipulation.You're toxic...you can't see or hear anything while your head is up your ass. Not one word you type to me has any power or impact. All complete nonsense. Type away. I'm not reading it anymore. It always is the same because you are a clone...non-thinking clone

@Fernie
This post is about a serious. matter not about your harassment

@Pfuzylogic I don’t usually get into religious questions, but that passage seems to indicate the opposite: Jesus saying that it’s God’s will and not his (Jesus’) choice, other than acceptance of whatever God decides. That sounds like God’s holding the reins to me.
Pfuzylogic · M
@bijouxbroussard
It was the choice of Jesus the whole time. He wasn’t required to give his life.

Jesus said in John 10:18
“No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father."
@Pfuzylogic But, his Father commanded him, it says. So how was it really his choice ? How could he refuse ?
Pfuzylogic · M
@bijouxbroussard
Check the command again.
It was Jesus choice.
@Pfuzylogic A command is defined as an authoritative order.

@bijouxbroussard
Jesus authored the giving of his life to act as the final sacrifice for sin. The sacraments on the “Day of Atonement” were meant only as a pointer to the Messiah.
