Want to check the refrigerator light goes off when you close the door?
No need to drill holes, just pop your phone in the fridge, use the camera function. Don't forget to turn your phones light off though.

It does go off when you close the door, and you don't have to do anything to be sure really. There is a switch/button that the door pushes when closed to turn off the light. Next time you have it open just look around the outside edge and you'll see it...if you push it even while the door is open the light goes out.
