Why are there no effective short term solutions to poverty, homelessness and the inability of large populations to function in a wealthy manner?

If you really look into the reasons why poverty exist, they largely boil down to people's attitudes about order, achievement, societal good, etcetera, and as it so happens, it takes a whole lot of time and effort to change the attitudes of large groups of people.

I think you mean long term?

There are solutions. It's getting people to agree that not living outside like a pigeon is a basic human right in a country where we have robots working in grocery stores that's the problem.

Problems with a long term causality generally need long term solutions to fix them.
I think the bar has been raised and some people can’t keep up or don’t have family to help.
