I play outside a lot even now

SW-User
Yes, I used to love playing bare foot in the mud and making mud pies. I used to enjoy stomping in cow pats with my bare feet. I was fascinated how it used to ooze through the toes.

I enjoyed it so much that I still enjoy it today
SW-User
@cherokeepatti it’s just fun, I just like the squishy feeling on my feet
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@SW-User walk in mud on a creek then
SW-User
@cherokeepatti done that, feels amazing. Would still love to try with cow dung someday, just to have done it

Yeah we used to meet up at my then bff’s apartment complex daily, it was huge so playing cops and robbers never got boring; but what I enjoyed the most were the Beyblade battles, Marco Polo, badminton, rollerskating races and ghost hunting till our parents came searching for us 🤣
marsbar · F
@SW-User My 14 yr old son still has his Beyblade collection, & even a few times last year, he’d play with them. Lol
SW-User
@marsbar Haha my brother is 14 too, and same he got bored of it just this year 😂
marsbar · F
Too funny 😁@SW-User

I did. We had a small alleyway where my cousins and I went to play football every weekend. I also used to go to the deserted old factory at the end of the alley and stay there until stupid o’ clock thinking I was some kinda paranormal investigator.

lots of sports...basketball, football, baseball - biking through the woods and river close to my house. We'd be outside from noon till dinner time, and again after dinner.
SW-User
All the time. We'd play lots of games. Hide and seek and just throw the ball around ... a lot I do not even remember. I just know I was always outdoors as a kid.
marsbar · F
I did. In our old apartment building, my younger brother & would play with the kids in building. We’d play hide & seek in the garages. It was so fun because the garages were so dark. I also rode my first green banana bike a lot.

At our first house, I rollerskated a lot using the metal rollerskates that you needed to attach to your running shoes. Then I learned to skateboard. Some of my classmates lived near me, so I’d hang out with them a lot, sometimes climbing trees.
yes lol. we had so many games we played that involved running, jumping, and dancing LMAO

When I was a kid our parents had a hard time keeping us indoors,
Shannon27 · M
Yes. Under a big shade tree in our side yard. In a sandbox with my toys.
ABCDEF7 · M
Yup, lot of football, running, cycling and others
FreeSpirit1 · 51-55, F
Yes, being in the house as a kid was punishment
PerfectionOfTheHeart · 46-50, F
Sooo much. One of my favorite things was to find a little dirt patch in the grass and play with my hot wheels. I’d also sit in the grass for what seemed like hours making white clover bracelets.
alan20 · M
@PerfectionOfTheHeart Daisy chains we called them. If you were skilful enough you could make a long necklace for some girl.
PerfectionOfTheHeart · 46-50, F
@Shannon27 Well, that sucks. That’s why I always looked for a patch of dirt that was already there.
PerfectionOfTheHeart · 46-50, F
@alan20 That’s an interesting term for it.
HappyBella · 41-45, F
Yes I loved being outside.
Nayla · 51-55, F
I had days lots of fun outdoors growing up - playing Charlies Angels with my friends on our bikes, exploring around the ravine and the woods, skateboarding, swimming. We even dug up a grave in an Indiginous burial ground in the woods once
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Nayla Yeah we’d go into the woods, it’s a miracle we didn’t get bit by a copperhead with all the leaves on the ground they are totally camouflaged.
alan20 · M
Remember crossing and recrossing the nearby river on stepping stones. Looking at it today, I wonder how I survived. When younger had a pedal car I used to show off in.
Shannon27 · M
@alan20 I had a red Fire Chief pedal car. I would ride it everywhere until I graduated to a bike with training wheels
alan20 · M
@Shannon27 Think mine was red and yellow. Remember being responsible for a woman missing her bus when I insisted on her waiting to see me do a circuit of our yard.
eli1601 · 70-79, M
In the summer my friends and I were gone from 10 in the morning until 5 in the afternoon, riding bikes, playing ball, swimming, etc. What a life.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@eli1601 yeah we had days like that. I wish I knew how many miles we walked some days, we’d go down country roads and all around the farm or village.
Shannon27 · M
@cherokeepatti Those were the best days of our lives but we didn't know it
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Shannon27 I agree
yes caught bugs, built forts, when bike riding, explored, lotsa stuff
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@DuchessOfMapleSyrup yeah we made forts out of fallen branches...
@cherokeepatti did that sometime we dug trench forts or built tree forts
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@DuchessOfMapleSyrup I went to a school in a small town in Missouri and we did it at school at recess one time. Took a few days before they hauled the branches off so we played with them for as long as we could, and no teacher stopped us.
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
Used to walk every where barefoot.
Go swimming, because we could any time of the year.
Fishing, Camping, sports.
bike rides with friends, basketball, fishing, loved catching frogs as well :D
Fungirlmmm · 51-55, F
Climbed trees. Had a few house. Went swimming.
Foxyfoxfox · 51-55, F
Rode my 10-speed bike EVERYWHERE

SolidHeart · 46-50, M
