I (almost) truly believe our entire high-level politicians, media and wealthy are engaged in a vast theatrical production that provokes our emotions and prevents thought and action to change things. Looking back, I see that while a lot of things have changed - the rich keep getting richer - and that's true on both sides of the aisle.

The one Alex Jones trotted out in (I think) 2009. Apparently the entire US population were to be steam rollered into having the flu shot. Those that refused were going to be herded into internment camps in 2010..he helpfully posted photos of plastic coffins that the unfortunate renegades would be buried in if they died in the camps...Plastic coffins don't degrade. I guess that didn't occur to him.

@ViciDraco The Nibiru one (Wasn't that supposed to be December 2012?) was nasty too...At least one teenager committed suicide, convinced she was going to be caught up in an apocalypse. What I find sickening is I've never yet seen or heard a conspiracy theorist apologise and recant their scare mongering when such a tragedy occurs and say they were wrong.
