Good in a prison...
Nimbus · M
@JJsmile Good point!

shuhak · M Best Comment
Pros -

* space saving (for areas where housing is an issue)
* Easier for people with certain disabilities to utilize (I've fallen and I cant get up.. but I can still get a drink)
* Seat will always be in the down position after use ... providing it's "put away" (and the ladies applaud).

Cons -

* Bidet/urinal too high for most people top access without a stool (the water nozzle on a bidet usually points up and at an angle... not straight down)
* Not animal friendly. A small dog or cat would have a hard time accessing their water dish (due to extra weight when opening door).
* Toilet paper may unravel into bowl when cabinet closed. While flipping roll to "under" position may help, it goes against most people's OCD.)
* Sanitation issues (the Tidy Bowl man is afraid of the dark)
* Safety issues. Failure to properly "put away" the john after use could pose a tripping hazard - especially in the dark. (Do you want your death certificate to read - "Cause of death: drowned in toilet because they failed to put it away"?)

@MaryJanine I was being humorful. Pets should never drink out of toilets as they aren't safe (pet can drown or be poisoned (cleaners or cleaner residue)).
MaryJanine · 70-79, F
I know - I understood. But, like I do, do you have some friends who might take you seriously, even when you are using humor to apply? I added my comments because people don't believe birds could be affected, too.
Nimbus · M
@shuhak Excellent, as usual :)
pennynoodles · 56-60, F
Very bad. I know how you guys can miss and I wouldn't want to be scrabbling about in that cupboard trying to mop up.
JavaJoe · 51-55, M
@pennynoodles they should have an app for that....

@pennynoodles 😉😉

If they can do it for tooth brushing....
AbbeyRhode · F
It seems kind of unnecessary. If one was desperate to save space, there are better ways to do it. The only reason I can think of to have this would be to keep the dog from drinking out of the toilet. :)
Nimbus · M
@AbbeyRhode lol, what kind of dogs have you had?
AbbeyRhode · F
@Nimbus I had a tiny dog who couldn't reach the toilet, lol. But it seems to be a problem for others.
Nimbus · M
@AbbeyRhode Awwww, I know :)

@kingkyri Yes, agreed, limited space.
I assume it swivels into the cupboard. If the connections are sound and you don't have visitors who for whatever reason might suddenly have to race to the bathroom - where they wouldn't be able to find the toilet...I think it's a good idea.
Nimbus · M
@Mamapolo2016 Considering that, yes! :)
MaryJanine · 70-79, F
I have a three-room apartment and a bathroom (including commode) that could be called a "half" bathroom in a regular sized house. You can barely walk around in there, and I'd LOVE to rip out that rickety shower stall in there and get a walk-in bathtub. I'm not a shower girl (never have been) and it gets cold in minutes when you have to take a sponge bath. The commode in my bathroom has an offer in the paper to include a free toilet when you use their company's services and I'm leaning toward that offer.
Nimbus · M
@MaryJanine That's a fair sized house.
MaryJanine · 70-79, F
I suppose it is. There's three apartments above me, and I live in the basement. I know the upper floors have two or three bedrooms and a bigger bathroom than I do (I was up there once).
JavaJoe · 51-55, M
I’ll give it an “A” for originality. 😁
JavaJoe · 51-55, M
@Nimbus with my luck, I would sit down and the plumbing would pull out of the wall. 😂😂
Nimbus · M
@JavaJoe lol, nasty!
It does look flimsy!
JavaJoe · 51-55, M
@Nimbus it does
SweetMae · 70-79, F
That's not a great idea. It would be difficult to keep clean.
Nimbus · M
@SweetMae Exactly!

that might be good if you live on a boat or something, but tbh it looks like it's meant for some kind of medical setting

@SW-User Good thinking.
