I don't hate police. I hate the boys' club culture in many places, where they protect the bad or criminal behaviour of cops no matter what they've done.
In Australia I think you are most likely to be ripped off on a day-to-day basis by tradies (trades like plumbers, electricians, etc). They earn quite well here, but they seem to charge whatever they decide, and you have no point of reference to say, wait - that's too much. They often do cash-in-hand to avoid tax. But for some reason no-one seems to notice.
