Every mistake is an experience. Every experience is a lesson. The best thing you can do is try to not push the responsibilities away and own up to it, facing the consequences with your head held high - if you don't, chances are you will end up in a similar situation in the future. There is no point in hating yourself, it's just a waste of energy. You made a mess, own it and clean it up. It's the only and the best thing you can do. You'll see that once you look at your broken reflection and accept yourself for who you are, it will be easier to deal with whatever it is that happened.

I can relate to making a mistake and hating myself for it. Sorry to hear you're going through that.

Yes, I’ve done or said things where I felt like a jerk afterwards. But one makes amends if possible, resolves to do better in future.
And forgive yourself. You’re human and guaranteed to make mistakes along the way. Just like everyone else. 🙂
