@sarabee1995 She lived. It defied all odds, but there she was. She didn't exactly walk away from the explosion without a scratch. It would take two surgeries and weeks of physical therapy to save her legs. But she came out the other side of it. For months every media outlet wanted her. They wanted the full story of how she stopped the madman who held the city hostage. There were talks of speaking tours and book deals, but she just wanted her life back. Eventually a new story grabbed the public eye and she was allowed to fade back into obscurity.
Then, on a cool Autumn morning, the phone rang. Father Marconi, as she expected. No time for pleasantries. The cult that was behind the first attack had returned. The Knights Templars were called to action again.
