What's your stance on saying "I love you" outside of a relationship?

I tell my significant other, my family, and my close friends, "I love you."

When I say I love chocolate or pizza or the mountains, it's not the same kind of love.

Love comes in many forms. I love many people in many different ways....and yeah..i tell them all. On occassion...( not often thankfully) people has misenturperated what ive meant by telling them....assumingbive meant ' in love with' or romantic love. Luckly...most have coe to realise what i actualy meant.....

You can love stuff unromantically

You can say I love you to many different people and it doesn't mean the same thing...A friend isn't the same as your spouse, a parent or sibling isn't the same as a friend or spouse, your pet isn't the same as any of them. I say it to my parents but I feel like a hipocrite when I do (long story), otherwise I don't say it to anyone unless I really mean it (my wife is the only person I say it to). I say it to my dog and he seems to understand so why not.

I can love anybody and anything. If I do, I'll tell them

I tell my friends I love them, my family, my cat, food, myself... all kinds of things

My heart only knows love for everyone.

There are many kinds of love. I say I love you often.

If you feel it, say it !

Mum I always say Love you Mum, dad I say love ya mate. Close mates love ya bro/sis. To my S/O I say I love you and give her a different reason why each time.

I almost never say it, except to my pets.
