What if you're "part" of the government? 😱

Historically my government has concocted evidence and sent innocents to jail.
Concocted evidence and declared war on other nations.
Protected the most venal in society at home and abroad and enabled them to prosper in seats of power.
Made piss-poor economic decisions thirty years ago that now see us at the mercy of of others economically and socially today.

I trust that it only makes bad decisions through incompetance or laziness rather than evil.

No. A Politician becomes a Politician, first and foremost for themselves.
They are all self serving without a social conscience.
Governments are unethical and pander to big business.
At least here in Australia

Mostly.... They need to be kept in check though... That's where the free press comes in, and preferably coalition based public representation in government
