Be in jail or be homeless?

I would rather be homeless. I was a professional tramp for several years. I would much rather be more comfortable, but jail is a noisy ridiculous place where crime is glorified, and criminal skills are honed and improved. When incarceration became a commercial industry, rehabilitation took a back seat to what amounts to a 'higher education' in crime. Jails are now nothing but replacements for mental institutions and colleges for criminals, and the people who have people putting money on their books all the time form a kind of jail house mafia, and lord it over those who don't have money being put on their books.

@Psycho Interesting, the soles of one's feet are considered disrespectful to show off. I wonder how that came to be.

Further to BMCs response, what country am I homeless in?
Kcmzeph · 31-35, F
@CountScrofula Norway or Thailand
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@Kcmzeph Hrm. Jail in Norway. I'm sure Norway treats their homeless great, but sleeping rough in the arctic isn't my idea of a great time.
Kcmzeph · 31-35, F
@CountScrofula If Norway has one of the best prisons, maybe it is taking care of its homeless people as well..hopefully

Homeless

Making money is super easy
Prisoner69 · 26-30, M
@BlueMetalChick did I say it was easy? ROFLMAO

I'd much rather be homeless than in jail. Isn't that the question
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Prisoner69 ...yes, you did say it was easy, it's one of only two sentences in your comment. "Making money is super easy."

I'd rather be homeless than I would be imprisoned in an American jail, but I'd much rather be incarcerated in a jail in, say, Finland than I would be homeless.

Homeless is exciting
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@StokedFox Girl, homelessness is living hell. I spent almost my entire childhood like that.
StokedFox · 36-40, F
@BlueMetalChick i spent a year homeless. I also was a correctional officer in a prison for a year. I'll take homelessness. Sorry your childhood was like that, but you're an awesome person.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@StokedFox I've been in jail, but not incarcerated in prison. I much preferred it to homelessness. I starved for days on end as a homeless, I had a chronic sunburn that gave me skin poisoning, I was constantly bitten by insects, I was dirty, disgusting, my nails would grow out long and filthy, I was consistently dehydrated because the water was contaminated with cholera. I'd rather die than experience that a second time.

@Psycho Really homeless people always get away with shoplifting..? but safety is also a concern. They might be severely beaten up or get killed and nobody would care.
