Ever buy a statue?

I saw a bronze statue of Tara: Indian goddess. It's beautifully ornate, but $5,500.

Yes. We were at King Richard's Faire, and a sculptor from Gloucester was exhibiting there. I bought a statue of a mermaid holding a baby. Fish swam in a column beside her. I paid down about $200, which was all I had with me at the time, and then paid him an entire weeks paycheck the following week.

the one i have … hangs on the wall … figure of jesus on the cross … but without the cross (if that makes sense) … s'about 26" in height … $500 all said 'n done.
