What's an informal term to describe a female which isn't regarded as condescending/sexist?

For example, "chick", " babe", "broad", all seem to have negative connotations. But " dude", "guy" etc seem okay.

What say ye?

I think it matters way more if you know the person. There are people I know that say all of the female terms above and they know me well, so it’s cool. Someone I don’t is likely to get their teeth kicked in. Those are names of familiarity and you better be familiar.
