What's an informal term to describe a female which isn't regarded as condescending/sexist?

For example, "chick", " babe", "broad", all seem to have negative connotations. But " dude", "guy" etc seem okay.

What say ye?

Calling a woman "dude" is just as sexist as saying "chick" if ya ask me. (and I don't think it's sexist to begin with)
