Do they have trouble finding a vein when you're getting blood drawn?

No...I know exactly where the best vein is and I point it out to them

Yes, happens with me too. The nurse looks in my left hand, then right hand, then it's back to my left hand. Then they either pass frustrating comments or just use the back of my palm. 😣

Sometimes they find it with no problem at all and other times they couldn't find it if I was turned inside out.

I have been told my veins are very small. Used to donate every 6 or 8 weeks but was advised to stop because scar tissue was forming

Yeah my veins move but if that's not typical for you they were probably a bad phlebotomist

if they miss a vein more than once i tend to request a different nurse/doctor.

Thankfully, I have good veins. That's what they tell me. I'm sorry you had to go through that. :(

That's me every time. They told me my veins run all over the place and they roll. My blood also comes out really slowly and sometimes it clots before they can fill up the tube. I always get iv in my hand. Sucks lol

Yes! I was once told I have rolling veins, what ever in the fuck that is supposed to mean. 9 times out of ten when I get blood drawn it is excruciating, they jab me multiple times and I end up with bruised arms. When I had to have an IV put it, it took the IV unit to do it. Once a doctor tried to put in an IV before an operation, and he caused blood from my arm to gush everywhere. It ain't no fun I tell you.

I'm pale as fuck so they're usually pretty easy to see, but they're not very big? I haven't had my blood drawn since I was a kid though, I don't know if a doctor would have a hard time finding it

No. I'm told I have small veins, but they never had to repeatedly jab me with the needle to find them. That happened to my nephew though. He was just a little kid...jerks! 😭
