Do other parts of the world have as horrible drivers as in the New York New Jersey area?

Yes, Florida. It’s because all the NY/NJ people come here and drive like assholes.

I have never been to those places but I suspect that inconsiderate/reckless/negligent drivers can be found worldwide.

A few weeks ago in a town neighboring mine 7 traffic officials were arrested for taking bribes from people who would otherwise not pass their learners or drivers licence tests. This of course adds to the amount of people who should not be allowed on the road.

Get outside of the city parts of Jersey and it's entirely different.

I would put Chicago area drivers up against all comers.....🙄

Bad drivers are everywhere

Yup. But it's more unnerving with greater density. Driving like a maniac in West Texas or really in a small town is both less dangerous and more conspicuous.

People in large urban areas sometimes seem to misbehave more because they're anonymous, kind of like on SW.

Never been outta Australia. Though I have noticed people from the state of Victoria don't know how to use their side mirrors. But then.. In my town the cars have right of way on the road instead of pedestrians which is odd anywhere else.
