Why would a mom promise her child this
Ok so my mom told me if I don’t clean up my room by the time she gets back she will throw away all my nail polish and make up and she says she promise she will.

@smiler2012 That would be childish as well, just clean the darn room, she lives under mom's roof.
I expect my daughter to clean.
She lives with me and if she wants a messy room she can find her own place and keep it as messy as she likes, but no I would not threaten to throw out her stuff.
