Would you rather live in the city near a bunch of people or "off the grid" kind of and more alone?

Just outside the city. Close enough to be convenient, far enough away to be quiet ;-)

Kinda in the middle.

I'd love to live off the grid, have geo-thermal for the heat/a-c, solar, wind, passive solar etc....a big combo of free energy devices.

I'd like to stay in the country, off grid would be great but a struggle for me.

The burbs. Things are quiet and convenient. Off the grid types are a bit eccentric.

I live in the country beautiful house and pond. Love it

I've lived both. Off the grid felt way, way worse.
