What would the world be like if it was filled with male and female copies of you?

There’s a really dumb line in a good song (“Name” by Goo Goo Dolls) that goes:
"And don't it make you sad to know that life
Is more than who we are”

The joy of life is in learning about other people, other types of culture, other ways of thinking.
If everything was a replica of me, there would be no exchange of ideas, no sharing of culture....and it would be awful.

Well that would be kind of boring. I think we all add a different dynamic that keeps things interesting. :)

I was thinking about this a little more. Not to be a Debby Downer, but recently someone who participated on an email list I'm on recently lost a battle with cancer. The list moderator summed up this person pretty well in this comment: "Always shocking, always irreverent, XXXX was nonetheless smart, funny, dependable, honest, and insightful.  We saw eye to eye on nearly nothing yet I always looked forward to seeing him and I considered him a friend."

Those different from ourselves inspire us. They challenge us. A bunch of replicas doesn't sound like a very nice place to live.

I appreciate the differences and diversity the human population offers me right now. For that reason, I wouldn't want a world full of people who were carbon copies of me.
