I was thinking about this a little more. Not to be a Debby Downer, but recently someone who participated on an email list I'm on recently lost a battle with cancer. The list moderator summed up this person pretty well in this comment: "Always shocking, always irreverent, XXXX was nonetheless smart, funny, dependable, honest, and insightful. We saw eye to eye on nearly nothing yet I always looked forward to seeing him and I considered him a friend."

Those different from ourselves inspire us. They challenge us. A bunch of replicas doesn't sound like a very nice place to live.

@Fungirlmmm Yes it was. When they talked about him they referred to him as "Evil XXXX" which I thought strange. But although he ruffled feathers he also got others to think outside the box. He was an education professor by trade. So thinking about how someone can be somewhat despised and adored both intrigued me. So the idea of identical clones seemed to fit in.
