why do we only talk about how girls just wanna have fun?

First: guys want to have fun as well.

Second: girls want to do more then just have fun. They have goals too.

Well girls have to also fight for a right to party - not just the men who sing it do 😜
DontMindMe · 31-35, M
Yeah I think they did a good job including everyone in the oppression of partying. We all deserve the right to party... This needs to be an amandment.

Let's not talk about it, let's listen to a song about it:

@DontMindMe I've never thought of that as a sexist song before. It's very popular in my area and we take a strong stance against sexism here. Lol :)

But it's saying girls don't want to work hard and have professional careers. That all they want is to have fun.

Personally, I'm very offended by this song

@DontMindMe Well, don't click on it then. FYI the lyrics go "When the working day is done, oh girls they wanna have fun". It doesn't actually say we "don't want to work hard and have professional careers". You imagined that yourself. I'm guessing you personally don't like the song and you are just looking for something to criticise about it. I've seen that kinda thing before.

It's a song from the 1980s by Cyndi Lauper. Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.

I'd feel she has reduced women's motivations and objectifies them into second class citizens... And I am triggered
