Those places are crooked too. Lots of stories out there of sketchy behavior.

NEVER go to Jiffy Lube.... they can make a huge mess for you... like.... leaking oil filters and what have you!

@Dignaga Hey, you are never to old to learn as long as you have the physical capability! Changing oil isn't "rocket science" but the dealerships will make you think it is.....but thats bs. But just watch what the service places do....and check the reps first.. some are good , others are NOT. I "bought" my lesson at jiffy lube.
@heavyone2 I live in my minivan and don't want to keep a pan for it to drip out for space and hygiene reasons, or lay on winter asphalt, and I wouldn't know what to do with the oil once it is out of the van. Any repairs I learn will have to be stuff I can do stickly under the hood, not lying under the van.

Priority is if you were there first you come first.
@Degbeme Nope. Fleet servicing, then state inspections, then me. Good thing I didn't show up when a lunch break hits. I was going to get my transmission fluid taken care of too when they brought it up because it was on the wall but they didn't offer to do it, so walked away thankful they even bothered to service me.
